In middle of winter, winter sweetness is fragrant, and "butterflies" dance among flowers. When I got closer, it turned out to be a flying paper butterfly.

Materials: wire, pliers, colored cardboard, rubber band, adhesive tape, scissors, scale, pencil

Step 1. Fold thin iron wire in half in a V shape, and length of wire at both ends in a V shape is 6 cm.

Step 2. Take another iron wire, roll out a circle with a pen, clamp circle with pliers and bend it at an angle of 90 °, use a scale to measure skeleton of paper butterfly body, about 4 cm long, and fix end with pliers and leave hook for fixing elastic band.

Step 3: Take elastic band, fold it in half, put one end on V-shaped iron wire, and thread other end through iron ring and fasten it to hook.

Step 4. Use scissors and cardboard to cut out butterfly wings and tape them to wire.

Step five. Twist wings of butterfly.

A little scientific principle: twisting wings of a butterfly causes rubber band to twist, causing rubber band to elastically deform. Squeeze air down at an angle, since force between objects is mutual, paper butterfly itself will rise due to reaction force of air, and butterfly will flutter.

"There is no moon without lights to entertain people, and a moon without lights is not considered spring." Lanterns are romantic objects in traditional Chinese culture, especially during Lantern Festival. Pray for peace in home.

Here we invite teacher Qi Jiangfeng to present a simple production principle and scheme for lanterns.

Materials: colored paper, twine, double-sided tape, button batteries, LEDs, scissors

Step 1. Fold colored paper in different colors according to following patterns, each group of four will be used as petals and leaves. The petals of leaf are placed at bottom, petals are placed at top, and four are stacked in turn.

Step 2. Fold same four groups as described above, and once folded, fold in half.

Step 3. Fold four groups of origami one after other and tie them in middle with a thin thread.

Step 4. Divide each origami group into four sides, then flip "petals" and "leaf petals" upside down and flower is ready.

Step 5. Light up lanterns. The flower is already in bud, how to make it glow? A light emitting diode can be inserted directly into a coin cell battery to form a closed circuit and LED will emit light. Since light emitting diode only passes one-way current, if it does not emit light, reverse direction of light emitting diode and try again. If you feel that one LED is not bright enough, you can also put more LEDs on same button cell to form a parallel circuit.

Step 6. Finally, place homemade light in "flower" and the lantern is ready. We can also make small sticks and brushes from hard cardboard and double-sided tape, and then tie them with thin threads, and a beautiful flashlight is ready.

Materials: three plastic bottles, straws, glue gun, hot melt glue, wire, scissors

Step 1. As shown in picture, cut a hole in middle of bottle body and cap of #1 bottle, large enough to insert a straw. On same horizontal line of #2 bottle body, make two holes respectively and cut out a rectangular pattern on opposite side. Open two holes on body of bottle #3 to connect bottles #1 and #2.

Step 2. After opening holes in three bottles, use three straws to connect bottles as shown in picture, and straws connected to bottles #2 and #3 should exceed length of bottle #2 Just a little . Seal all connections with hot glue to prevent water leakage.

Step 3. Make a water wheel. Cut straw into 6 small pieces, stick 6 pieces to same point with hot glue, pass iron wire through middle, and put iron wire on bottle body No. 2, so that small water wheel can rotate flexibly.

Step 4. First, fill No. 2 bottle with water, let water drain into No. 3 bottle through a straw, and finally fill No. 1 bottle, then enter water into No. 2 bottle, and small water wheel can rotate La!

Principles of Science: Pedaling uses knowledge of atmospheric pressure, which is content of eighth grade science. The water entering bottom bottle occupies a certain volume of bottle, so some of air will be forced into middle bottle, at this time, atmospheric pressure in middle bottle will be higher than outside world, so water will be squeezed out of straw, thereby pushing small water wheel spinning.
